  • What are the STEP sensors?

    The STEP Series refers to several sensors, of different types and shapes, all of them based on the ON-OFF working principle. Both in Reed and in Electronic versions, they are used for the monitoring of the end-stroke positioning on the pneumatic and hydraulic cylinders. They have different shapes to adapt to the different cylinders’ liners, or regular type to be fit into the “T”-shaped grooves, with different fixing tools to make standard the sensor itself.

  • On which technology are they projected?

    The STEP sensors are available both with clean-contact REED type version, and with electronic magneto-resistive type. This last one provides protection to short-circuit and to polarity inversions.
    They are typically with IP67 protection degree, and their output can be through cable (all with PUR type cables), or through M8 connector.

  • On which kind of cylinders they can be installed?

    The choice of the sensor is determined by the cylinder used. Usually all cylinders with a magnetic piston can accept our STEP sensors using the proper fixing tools.

  • What does “Custom sensor" mean?

    "Custom sensor" refers to the possibility of projecting and manufacturing special sensors to fit a certain cylinder in a certain application.
    Custom sensors have specific sensitivity; specific shapes and fixings; special cables in terms of dimensions, strenght, and configuration.
